Never heard of git or have but don't understand what it's about?

Well basically git is a more well-formed version of an SVN but it's more complicated to use depending if your a command line or UI user, the whole idea i had behind using git was because it's the same concept as what our private SVN is the only difference now it is publicly viewable by everyone.

However, releases such as 2.0.9e and future releases will be excluded from the public branch until it's finalized because of privacy reasons and such, this doesn't mean however that you can't assist with making changes. I chose GitHub as the host because it allows you guys to fork and make pull requests which essentially means you can retrieve the repo for your local development or push change requests that you feel need to be made to improve the CMS.

At this stage 2.0.9d is the current release on the repo and contains the entire core of the CMS, if you have any suggestions, bug reports or anything else please try to use the repo as it will help to keep track of bugs that are floating around in forum topics.

So please let me know if you are having any issues and hope you enjoy the new public source release.

Cheers,
Chris

Sgt Legend you might think about a Tutorial on GIT since its not TortoiseSVN which is a no brainer! GIT get a bit interesting if you don't understand how to install and uninstall if problems should exist! Maybe we can ask killigan to do that?

[Additional Draft Thought Ideas] Only!!!!!!!

I would also consider this and take it to the next level! This would be really nice for all but clan sites and large sites would be a xtreme product enhancement! A dual client one Auto Update, two a Backup client that hooks to a Cloud interface to backup local machines files too a xtreme secure server on users choose! Size would be a selection process I would draw a detailed schema, programming thoughts to explain more! PM it too you!

My pitch is - The online world is constantly changing and new technologies emerge daily. How do you keep up? By subscribing to the Some name use this for example) Auto Update Plan. A small monthly subscription costs about the same as lunch for two as a example, and gives you instant access to the latest features for Evolution-Xtreme users will appreciate and love, plus backup. Owners of Web Sites! the client system software can log into the Auto Update Server through modem or Internet and automatically receive the latest upgrades. The Auto Update Server automatically verifies what the individual user has installed, checks Evolution-xtreme software library for the newest upgrades, and then downloads and installs the latest revisions or files to a Backup directory made by the AUP client. The Auto Update Server is available to both new clients and existing clients!

The AUP Server, the first-time users would register product information (this is would be the hold-up but if both service enhancemnts were selected than the Customer would purchase I'll use that word for now! subscription, donation, maintenance agreement etc for this text ie: Bandwidth, Raid Server Space, prgramming, logging, both client and support distribution of support issues and improvement! Some small calls to the clients machine would have some small programming issues or make the hooks that interface with the OS local server clients machine then we only for see a few issues, while the AUP client checks the product version. During the initial connection, the AUP client can download an update (for free) while client initially registers the xtreme GPL. The AUP client then scans clients system for installed Evolution-Xtreme software and accessories, and compares the versions installed with the latest versions available. If the AUP server finds a newer version, the AUP client will request updated software, and automatically download the software the clients local host system /xtreme/010112 date time same directory for example. AUP client even makes a backup copy of the original xtreme software that was first installed possibly make zip, rar to a /backup/date format file on the host local machine(this could have other features). Additionally, the AUP Server tracks received upgrades through our customer database, providing detailed information too both technical support personnel and the client if any troubleshooting is required. A list of files changed, fixes or AUP Change log, This would be a bonus to xtreme possibly evolution clients! We would have control of the software not some other software source, it would be a hook to xtreme and backup client file interface!

On the support side xtreme can read client logs on the files and structure or issues and have a FIRST READ on problems to configuration, changes to the existing version!

Confused! don't be It just came too me from asnow flake that hit on my head! Just like a lightening! I just thought of something else got to go! get a pm to answer!

Cheers
